Who we are

leadersofthecosmos.com is operated by The Empowerment Opportunity LCSW, PLLC (Dr. Mary C. McCluskey, owner) in collaboration with Country Mungrel TV / Animate My Storybook (Vivian Thomas, founder). Together we are "we," "us," or "our" in this policy.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us:

• Email address — when you join the newsletter or RSVP to a screening.
• Name and organization — when you request the press kit or school licensing kit.
• Contact form messages — anything you write in our forms.
• Anonymous analytics — page views, device type, country (via Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled).

What we do with it

We use your information to:

• Send you updates about the series, screenings, and book signings.
• Respond to your press, educator, or general inquiries.
• Understand which pages are useful (analytics only — never personalized).

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not profile children.

Children

This is a website about a children's series — but the website itself is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are under 13, please ask a grown-up to fill out any form for you.

Cookies

We use a small set of cookies: a session cookie for navigation, and Google Analytics cookies for anonymous traffic measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.

Email lists

Our email list is hosted by Beehiiv. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor it immediately.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email mm649@nyu.edu with the subject line "Privacy request."

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are handled by Netlify with industry-standard encryption. We do not store sensitive personal data (no financial information, no health data).

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if anything material changes and we will date the change at the top.
